- Owen Nease
Here are 5 things you'll want to know about May...
1. National Day of Prayer- Here are two options to start the month off right (and yes, it's okay AND GOOD to keep praying even when the National Day of Prayer is finished):
- Attend the Stillwater rally at Noon on Thursday, May 1st, at the Stillwater Public Library east lawn.
- Ladies only- Join the women of HHBC-STW on Thursday, May 1st, for a time of prayer and fellowship at Noon at the downtown location of Red Rock Bakery for this month's Koinonia Cafe.
2. Outreach- One of the four priorities of Henderson Hills is ENGAGE. So, how is our campus going to be involved in reaching out to those around us? We have reached a point to begin answering this question, and this month we will begin talking about some specifics. Plan to be at church to hear more about how you can be involved in inviting others to be a part of what God is doing at HHBC-STW, and contact Owen if you have specific questions and/or ideas.
3. Mother’s Day- Not only will we be honoring the women of HHBC on May 11th, but Chuck Newkirk, an elder and teaching pastor at the Edmond campus, will be preaching live in Stillwater.
4. Picnic and Playground Day- Click on this link to learn more about how we will be celebrating the end of the school year! Needless to say, Sunday, May 18th will involve food, fun, footballs and Frisbees.
5. Summer plans- Here are two things I hope you'll do this summer:
- Get involved in the children’s ministry by volunteering on Sunday mornings, helping out with Vacation Bible School, and participating in some of the other Tuesday activities that Teresa is planning.
- Invite someone to church. Summer can be a great chance for someone who hasn’t been in church for a long time to visit. Make connections; invite people; see how God is at work!
