Private Music Lessons
Private Music Lessons in the areas of piano, voice, trumpet, percussion and guitar will be offered in the fall semester. These lessons are available to elementary age children up through adults. All private lesson teachers at the Academy of Worship Arts are followers of Christ, must have college degree in their area of musical expertise and have completed the Reducing the Risk seminar. In addition to quality music pedagogy, Academy teachers will incorporate biblical principles into the private lessons and use sacred, God-centered repertoire whenever possible. Lessons will be offered in a 14-week semester this fall for tuition. Private lessons meet once each week for 30 minutes. Tuition for the semester is $266.00 plus a $20 enrollment fee. This enrollment fee goes to pay for a recital at the end of the semester as well as Academy maintenance costs. This does not include student books and materials. Each private teacher will specify a list of books and materials needed for lessons. Enrollment for Private Music Lessons must be done at the church office. Intro to Voice class
Intro to Voice is a 6-week group voice class for high school students and adults. Do you like to sing, but aren’t sure if you’re doing it right? Or maybe you just want to learn to sing better and with more confidence. Then this class is for you! This class is a safe place to learn basic technique of how the voice works, explore the fundamentals of singing and grow more comfortable with your own voice. This class is taught by Becky Martin, experienced and highly trained voice teacher and choral director. Tuition for this 6 week class is $90.00 plus a $10 enrollment fee. This enrollment fee goes to pay for recitals, class materials as well as Academy maintenance costs. This class will have 8 available spots for enrollment and meets on Sunday afternoons. Tiny Tots & Praise
Tiny Tots & Praise is an interactive program for parents and their children, ages birth to five years, where both music and biblical truths are the focus. Incorporating the Musikgarten style, methods, and curriculum, this will be a time of music, movement, instruments, prayer, scripture and worship with your child! This class will encourage musical, physical, emotional, social, cognitive and most importantly, spiritual growth in your child. Research shows that this type of learning activity gives children a head start not only in music development, but in readiness for school. The curriculum is foundational and age appropriate for teaching your child both musical concepts and biblical concepts. Our desire is that this program will equip you to include even your youngest children in your family worship times. This class is taught by Callie Fry, Worship & Arts Associate & Director of the Academy of Worship Arts. These classes are being offered in a 14-week semester this fall for tuition. Classes meet once each week for 45 minutes. Tuition for the fall semester is $140.00 plus a $20 enrollment fee. This enrollment fee goes to pay for class materials as well as Academy maintenance costs. There are two class levels, a younger and an older, according to the child's age at the start of the semester. Each class will have 8 available spots for enrollment and meet at the following times:
Tiny Tots 1 (Birth-2.5yrs) Tuesdays 5:30-6:15 PM
Tiny Tots 2 (Mixed ages, birth-5yrs.) Thursdays 9:30-10:15 AM
