Single Mom’s Small Group Forming

Please join us as we begin a new Small Group geared specifically to moms raising children without a spouse in the home. We want to provide Hope and Healing for single moms through targeted Bible study, fellowship, encouragement and accountability. We begin on February 6th in the Small Conference Room at the Church Office at 6:45 p.m. Regular Small Groups are provided for your children during this time.


Widows’ Tea

New Parenting Small Group Study

A new parenting study will begin February 14th at 5-7 p.m. The 10 week study will be led by Kent and Nancy Dyer and is based on the book by Chip Ingram called Effective Parenting in a Defective World. They will meet in the Church Office classrooms and childcare is provided. The cost for materials is $25 per couple or $15 for one person. Please register at adults.hhbc.com.

Making Peace with Your Past

This Biblically based study helps us understand and come to terms with the feelings and consequences of growing up in a dysfunctional family. We will learn to identify ways our past affects our today, understand that other adults have had similar feelings, experience healing, overcome spiritual and emotional barriers to making peace with yourself and others, and develop a sense of hope and healing. STOMP Worship Event Auditions

“Everyday Heroes Stand Out” is this year’s STOMP Musical and auditions for special parts are January 24th, 3-4:30, or January 26th, 6:30-7:30 both in C-207. This audition is for any 1st-5th grader who would like to be considered for drama, solos, dance, extra parts and scripture reading. Kindergartners are also a part of the STOMP Musical but they do not need to audition. STOMP meets every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.

TAPE/CD Ministry Volunteers Needed

We need your help to spread the Word. Our Tape/CD ministry needs volunteers to record and distribute our sermons. Through this ministry homebound members, missionaries and many other people around the world are able to hear the teaching from our weekly services. No experienceis necessary. Big Weekend to Host Canned Food Drive

Every year, the students at Big Weekend participate in a variety of service projects for our community. This year, one of their projects will be a canned food drive. Starting Wednesday January 26th, there will be drop off boxes for canned food in the Gathering and in the Student Area. All food donated will be given out to families in need.

Mexico Family Mission Trip

Registration has started for the Mexico Family Mission Trip. We only have 57 spots available. A $100 per person deposit is required. Trip dates are June 19th – 26th. Ministries on this trip include sports, VBS, women’s, teenager’s, medical, evangelism, and more!

Two High School Mission Trips

Over spring break our 9th–12th grade students will be going to Tempe, AZ to team up with a local church for outreach ministries. We have limited space and training will begin in February so please sign up as soon as possible.
