Big Weekend for MS and HS Students

Middle School and High School students will come together on February 17th-19th for Big Weekend. Students from all over Edmond come together to grow closer to God while staying at host homes for the weekend. They will also be performing various service projects around the community on Saturday afternoon. Register by February 12th at hhbc.com/big-weekend or with a blue/white envelope.

Discovering How to Serve Class – This Sunday!

Discovering How to Serve is being offered this Sunday, January 29th, at 10:45 a.m. in room W-109. This class explains how to use gifts God has provided for ministry. Registration is encouraged but not required at hhbc.com/discoveryclasses or at the Information Kiosk.

Fabulous Fantastic Fun-filled February begins this Wednesday night. We will have special activities, teaching and dress-up nights: February 1st—crazy hair/crazy hat night, 8th—Pajama Night, 15th—Count Your Blessings Night (wear something with a number on it), 22nd—Follow Your Leader (your leader will decide how your class will dress-up), and 29th—Things that Leap (Frogs, ballerinas, insects, cheerleaders, kangaroos, etc.) We will also be working on our Worship Musical. Come be part of the fun!

New Men’s Bible Study

This study is for retired, self-employed or unemployed men, stay-at-home dads, or any other men available at this time. Making Peace With Your Past

This biblically-based study helps people come to terms with the feelings and consequences of growing up in a dysfunctional family. In the study, we learn to identify ways our past affects our present, overcome spiritual and emotional barriers to making peace, and develop a sense of hope and healing. Crown Financial Bible Study

This Sunday afternoon’s orientation is your last chance to join a Crown Financial Bible Study this spring. Pre-registration is not required. Come to room W-202 at 5 p.m. to learn about the ten week study which teaches money matters from a Biblical viewpoint. Join the hundreds from HHBC who have been blessed by this study. High School Mission Trip

During Spring Break, March 17th-23rd, we will lead a group of 9th-12th graders to Nashville, TN to work with The Axis Church (theaxischurch.org). Space is limited! Sign up early. Cost is $285 ($100 min. deposit). Sign up deadline is February 26th or when spaces are full. Register at hhbc.com/hsmt-2012 or with a blue/white envelope. Mandatory Training dates: February 26th, March 4th, & 11th.

Big Weekend is February 17th-19th and the Student Ministry is searching for host homes. Big Weekend is an annual student event featuring biblical teaching, worship, service projects, and fun. If you are interested in hosting a group of students in your home that weekend, please call or email Patty Barnes in the Student Ministry office.

ESL Volunteers Needed

Our English as a Second Language ministry needs more teachers. The classes are divided by gender and skill level. We are especially in need of more male teachers, but we will gladly welcome anybody who would like to serve in this ministry. No teaching experience nor foreign language skills are required. Social Skills Volunteers Needed

Special Ministries is planning to begin a social group this summer for children with “hidden” neurological disorders like Autism and ADHD. We need volunteers to help in writing curriculum for and in structuring this group. Social interaction is key for helping kids and their parents. Johnny Moore from Harrison Bethel Baptist Church will be our guest speaker. Don’t miss either of these events and invite your friends!

If you are not currently connected with a Small Group at Henderson Hills, we strongly recommend getting involved in order to meet friends, learn about the Bible, and participate in helping others grow spiritually. We have many types of groups that meet at convenient times. Take a next step today:

2. Pick up a CONNECT booklet with a listing of adult Small Groups.
3. Ask if you need help or recommendations.
