Girls Ministry
God created girls to be unique. They have their own emotions, temptations, desires, and needs. The Girls Ministry was created to provide events and teachings specifically for them. It is about reaching each girl and teaching her the desire God has for her and how beautiful she is to Him. Our prayer is that, through this ministry, girls will find a place where they can go to find Godly wisdom and fellowship.
Chocolate Festival 2010
Who: Girls grades 6th-12th and their moms (or mentors)
When: Thursday, Sept. 23 from 7-9 p.m.
Where: HHBC Worship Center
Cost: $5 per person (maximum of $10 per family)
Don’t miss out on one of the Girls Ministry’s most anticipated events of the year! Girls, bring your mom and a homemade chocolate dish to compete for amazing prizes. You will get the chance to taste everyone’s dish and vote on your favorites. Winners will be given prizes and one of you will be crowned the 2010 Chocolate Festival Queen. Don’t miss out, this year we will be welcoming a special guest as well as having some big surprises. You have never seen a festival like this! This is a great event to bring guests to so feel free to invite your friends.
Coffee Talk
Coffee Talk is a night for high school girls to come to the High School Room and sit and talk with different women from our church about allowing Christ to impact every aspect of our lives...even things like family, school, mean girls, and dating. This will be a fun relaxed atmosphere with a free coffee bar and snacks to help keep the conversations going. Coffee Talk will be Tuesday, November 2nd from 7-9 p.m.
Interested in Being Mentored?
Middle school and high school can be tough. Wouldn't it be great if you had someone who has been through it before to help point you in the right direction? Thats what mentoring is all about! If you are interested in being mentored by a Godly woman in our church, please contact the student ministry offices or email Kelly Wehunt.
Girls Retreat...
Get ready for Dec. 17-18, 2010! You won't want to miss out on this year's Girls Retreat. The Girls Retreat is an overnight event where we have a massive sleepover at the church and have incredible times of worship, Biblical teaching about what being a woman of God is, and of course lots of food and fun. Mark your calenders for this amazing event. More details to come!
Digging into God's Word...
High School girls! Come for a time of refreshing conversation and digging into the Bible every Monday night at 8 p.m. This is just a relaxing time with Kelly to be encouraged in your walk with Christ. There is no preparation needed, and it is strictly a come whenever you can type of thing! Please call Kelly for the location.
Mother-Daughter Night
Would you like to have a blast, learn truths from God’s Word, and build your relationship with your mom? Then come check out this monthly event designed to encourage the mother-daughter relationship. Every meeting is full of fun activities, Biblical teaching, and yummy snacks. Look for this event to start up in October!
Girls Night Out/Guys Night Out
A few times a semester, Wednesday nights will look a little different then normal. Thats because on these special Wednesdays we will split the guys and the girls to have a special evening of worship and teaching pointed toward certain gender specific issues. These times are always a blast with lots of surprises involved! Services start at 6:30 p.m. in the Middle School and High School Rooms. Look for the next split night Sept. 29 (High School) and Dec. 15 (Everyone).
