Big Weekend Q & A
Q. When is the event?
A. February 16th & 17th, 2018
Q. What is the theme of the weekend?
A. This year our theme is Kingdom. The kingdom we all understand and live in is broken by sin and suffering; a Broken Kingdom. This kingdom is riddled with natural disasters, terrorism, fear, anxiety, depression, divorce, illness, and death. However, there’s another kingdom that catalogs nothing but peace, comfort, glory, and life and is filled with the presence of God; a Restored Kingdom. The ground that lies between these two is where God’s people live on mission to give a glimpse of the coming, Restored Kingdom to all who are living in the Broken. We’re excited to see how the Lord will use this message to orient the hearts of students around His gospel and mission.
Q. Is this a conference or a Disciple Now?
A. Yes. This weekend could serve as a platform for you to host a Disciple Now if that would serve your church and students best. This weekend could also serve as a weekend conference for your students.
Q. Where can we stay?
A. If you are coming from out of town and need overnight accommodations we have hotel suggestions below.
Q. Are meals provided?
A. No. You are responsible for providing food for your students.
Q. Will students need money at the event?
A. Not necessarily, but the band will have a merchandise table available before and after each worship service.
Q. What does the $20 per student registration fee cover?
A. The fee covers programming cost, booklets for students, and downloadable files for your own promotional purposes leading up to the event.
Q. Does the $20 fee apply to adults as well?
A. No. There is no charge for church staff members or adult volunteers.
Q. Do students get t-shirts?
A. No, we will not provide shirts. However, as part of the registration fee you will have access to graphics that can be used for you to print your own shirts for your students.
Q. When is the group registration deadline?
A. January 31st
Q. What if we bring more/fewer students than we registered for?
A. We can make adjustments within reason (plus or minus 5-10). For example: If you register 20 and bring only 15 we can make those adjustments with ease.
