We don't want to overwhelm you with information, but we want you to feel comfortable and welcome on your first visit. So take a minute to look at the following information.
An information Kiosk is located in the center of the Gathering (lobby). Staff and volunteers are there to help you. Also located around the Gathering are kiosks for various ministry areas where you can find information about Community Groups, serving, missions, and other local ministries. Please be sure to stop by the Guest Reception so we can get acquainted and welcome you to the Henderson Hills family.
We offer three weekend worship services: Saturday evening at 5:30 pm; Sunday morning at 9 and 10:45 am. Wednesday evening, HTI (Henderson Training Institute) begins at 6:15 pm. Our Lead Pastor is Dennis Newkirk.
If you have children and want them to attend pre-school or children's classes while you go to worship, it would be best to arrive at least 15 minutes early.
Although we are a large church, our weekly small groups help bring a large church down to a more intimate size. We call these small groups Community Groups and that is truly where community is built.
Community Groups are purposed to uniquely equip people to live out the gospel in our community through service, worshipping as a community of believers, and loving others as a community of believers that push each other to submit every aspect of our lives to the authority of scripture. Discipling adults to be fully committed followers of Christ who live and love with a passionate commitment to seeing God glorified in our community and our world is our highest ambition.
The makeup of our Community Groups varies greatly by age group, size, life stage, and topics. Given the variety offered, we encourage newcomers to visit several Community Groups and then select the one that seems most comfortable for them.
Community Groups meet Saturday evenings after worship, Sunday mornings at 9 and 10:45 am, and throughout the week at various times in homes. Visit the Community Group Kiosk in the Gathering to find a group that's right for you, or you can find information about all the groups at hhbc.com/cg-finder.
The atmosphere is relaxed and casual attire is the norm for weekend services and most other events.
Please browse through the web site to find more information about our different ministries, beliefs, history, serving opportunities and much more. Our vision is to become a diverse family of surrendered and transformed people who passionately love God and others.
