NURTURING FAITH & LEARNING

The Christian Learning Center (CLC) is a part-time, weekday, early-education program that includes Mother's Day Out, Preschool, and Pre-Kindergarten classes in a Christian learning environment.

 

Our goal is to help preschoolers grow as Jesus did "in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man" (Luke 2:52). All CLC activities (whether in the classroom, on the playground, while eating, on field trips, or during transitions) are planned for the preschooler's spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development.

 

Henderson Hills' CLC is a developmentally appropriate preschool program with limited enrollment and monthly tuition.

WHOLE-CHILD DEVELOPMENT

Our program helps children develop foundational skills across six key developmental domains:

 

• Cognitive Development

 

• Creative Expression

 

• Executive Function

 

• Language and Literacy

 

• Physical Development and Wellness

 

• Social and Emotional Development

 

 

Through hands-on learning and guided play, children practice skills such as letter and sound recognition, number identification, rhyming, patterning, counting, sorting, pretend play, music and movement, art, fine motor development, and cooperative play. They also develop important life skills like following directions, managing emotions, resolving conflict, and communicating clearly.

BUILDING A FOUNDATION

Biblical truth is woven throughout each theme and activity. Children regularly hear Bible stories, learn Scripture verses, sing songs about Jesus and God, and create art projects that reinforce biblical lessons. Our hope is to help each child begin building a lifelong foundation of faith.

 

Our curriculum is also presented in engaging themes that help children understand and retain what they are learning. These themes allow students to explore new concepts through a variety of activities that support both academic readiness and healthy developmental growth.

CLC meets Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from

9:30 am–2:30 pm. Each school year begins in late August and concludes in May. We also offer a four-week summer program in July for current CLC students.
