Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10

Meditate:

Psalm 46 reminds us that God is Creator and sustainer of all that was created. It is in that context that we are reminded that we can “cease striving”, “be still”, “know calm”, as we consider the mighty deeds of God. The question then is what is there that we cannot lay before God. Surely there is nothing too big, look at all He created. Surely there is nothing too small, consider that He created everything even to the sub-atomic level. It is all in God’s Creator hands and we can rest in that.

Prayer:

Father, I do want to rest in You. I want to recognize deep in my being that you created all things, hold all things and sustain all things even: me, my family, finances, work, ministry, health, and worship. Today, Father, I want to lay all things before you in awe, thankfulness, and calm. Today Lord, may I just rest in you.
