As Easter approaches, we want to slow down and prepare our hearts for what it truly means. Before the cross and the empty tomb, there was a real city filled with people, markets, meals, and everyday life. Jesus entered Jerusalem during a week full of anticipation, knowing the cross was ahead of Him.
Our Jerusalem Marketplace is a Hillside Kids family experience designed to help children step into that world. Through hands-on activities like weaving, pottery, bread tasting, spices, produce, and music, kids will experience what life was like in Jerusalem and begin preparing their hearts for Resurrection Sunday.
Schedule:
5 pm – Meal at the Marketplace Café (Café)
Families will begin the evening together with dinner, remembering the meals Jesus shared with His disciples.
5:30 pm – Marketplace Opens (Activities Center)
Families will explore interactive booths where children can create, discover, and experience daily life in Jerusalem.
7 pm – Worship in the City (Activities Center)
We will gather for a special time of worship to reflect on the cross and celebrate the hope we have because Jesus is alive.
