On Wednesday nights during the school year, Henderson Hills offers a fresh lineup of classes designed to help you deepen your walk with Christ, build biblical community, and be better equipped to live out your faith in everyday life.
Choose from the six classes listed down below, designed to help every believer grow...
(Location: Green Room)
Led by Mark Callarman
This is an introductory course about the history of Christianity. As the first of two classes on this subject, this semester will begin in the 1st Century and end with the Reformation. Simply put, we are not the first generation of believers to wrestle with questions of doctrine, culture, persecution, compromise, or renewal. As such, we have much to learn from those who have gone before us. Just come and enjoy class each week or go all in and enroll for seminary credit through our partnership with the Spurgeon College / Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Either way, you will learn and grow as a follower of Jesus.
(Location: W-106)
Led by Courtney Shettron
The WRAP Around Group is a weekly Foster & Adoption Ministry small group for anyone with a heart for vulnerable children and families. Whether you foster, adopt, serve, or simply want to help, there's a place for you. Together, we'll explore God's heart for vulnerable children, hear inspiring stories, and discover practical ways to support families through prayer, encouragement, meals, respite care, mentoring, and more. Everyone has a role. Everyone can make an impact.
Any questions, email Courtney Shettron.
(Location: W-108)
Led by Missions Team
Missions: Pathways & Perspectives is Henderson Hills' missions framework, designed to help every believer understand God's heart for the nations and find how they can participate in His mission. Over seven weeks, this class explores biblical perspectives and foundational equipping topics that will shape how you think about God, the Church, the nations, and your role in the Great Commission.
(Worship Center)
Led by: Aaron Ferguson & Elders
We aren't meant to wait for holiness. We’re meant to pursue it. But what does that look like? Rather than overwhelming legalism or loose boundaries, we’ll find a practical middle ground through biblical habits. Each Wednesday of this 10-week study, we’ll tackle a different spiritual practice, based on the book Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life by Donald Whitney. This study will be led by the Elders.
(Location: W-104)
Led by Dan Leiphart & Elders
Teaching God's Word is a gift and a privilege. The Bible is our divinely inspired authority, able to pierce the division between our soul and spirit (Heb. 2:12). How then should we go about preparing and delivering a lesson on a biblical passage that will glorify God and edify those who hear? This class is for anyone who is or desires to teach others the Bible, as we explore helpful tips, resources and approaches to studying and delivering God’s Word rightly and effectively.
