Residents of nursing homes and assisted living centers are some of the most forgotten and neglected people of our day. They struggle with loneliness and separation from normal lifelong activities, such as involvement in their churches and the comfort it brings. Christians who are in nursing homes need the fellowship of other believers and the comfort of the Scriptures. Those without a relationship with Jesus Christ need the light and love that a believer can share through their faith. Many are looking for something of eternal value.
The heart of the Nursing Home Ministry and Golden Years Visitation Ministry is sharing the love of Christ with the residents and staff in area facilities. It is our purpose to bring light and hope in Jesus Christ, as well as to encourage spiritual growth regardless of the age or condition of the individual. Each week Henderson Hills provides worship services, Bible studies, and personal visits to residents in area facilities. This multi-faceted approach of ministry provides wonderful opportunities to both "proclaim the good news" and minister to the "least of these."
The goals of this ministry are to equip and send caring church members to honor, serve and minister to those who are in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
