In the beginning, God created everything to be perfect. There was no sickness, disease, sadness. Everything lived in harmony.
Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth."
Psalm 90:2 "Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God."
Man rebelled against a loving God and believed Satan’s lie. Sin entered the world and into every heart. Everything is now distorted and broken. Everyone is guilty before God.
Romans 3:10 "as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one"
Romans 3:19 "Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God."
Jesus, who is God, came to rescue people by His life, death, and resurrection. By faith alone in Him, anyone can have their sins forgiven and enjoy eternal life with Him.
1 Peter 3:18 "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit"
Galatians 1:4 "who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father"
Everything will be restored to the way it was supposed to be and those who trust in Jesus will get to enjoy eternity in the new heaven and new earth.
Revelation 21:1, 3-4 "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more...And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."
Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."
