About this Sermon...

Psalm 79 walks us through the devastation of judgment, reminding us that God is righteous and takes sin seriously even when the consequences feel overwhelming. Yet in the middle of ruin, the psalmist pleads for mercy based not on human merit, but on God’s glory and faithful name. When devastation comes, we are called to grieve our sin, cry out for mercy, and ultimately trust that our victorious God will restore and be praised from generation to generation.
