MAKING HIM KNOWN
Our Student Ministry at Henderson Hills is centered on the gospel—teaching and discipling students so they can know and enjoy God. Through Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, we equip students with biblical truth that deepens their faith and helps them grow in their relationship with Christ.
We believe that when students experience the great love of God, they will find joy in Him. That’s why we create fun and welcoming environments through events like Student Camp and Big Weekend, giving students opportunities to encounter God’s grace, mercy, and love in life-changing ways.
But knowing God isn’t the end—it’s just the beginning. We are committed to equipping students and families to make God known by sharing the gospel locally and globally. Whether through Spring Break Mission Trips or community service projects, we challenge students to live sent—bringing the hope of Christ to their neighbors and the nations.
Community Groups are a place for students to gather with others their age to grow deeper in the Word of God and gospel-centered community.
Middle School students meet in gender-specific groups at 9 am on Sunday mornings in Student Room 1 and one High School Community Group meets (9th-12th grade boys and girls).
High School students meet in co-ed groups at 10:30 am on Sunday mornings in Student Room 1 and one Middle School Community Group meets (6th-8th grade boys and girls).
6:15-7:30 pm in Student Room 1
Middle School and High Schoolers come together for worship and Bible study.
The Student Leadership Program (SLP) at Henderson Hills helps students grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through intentional discipleship and training on how to lead out in their faith. Throughout the summer, the students will get a behind-the-scenes look at the ministry of the church while assisting with the planning and preparation of Student Ministry summer events. The Student Leadership Program is a great opportunity for juniors and seniors who potentially feel called to ministry and want to explore what it's like to serve Christ through the church vocationally.
Who Can Apply: Juniors and Seniors who are active in the Student Ministry at HHBC
Application will open Spring 2026.
The Student Ministry year long internship is open to all college students interested in seeing the ins and outs of ministry to 6th-12th graders. It would require 12 hours a week. We pray the intern will walk away with soul care, exposure to ministry, fun, tools to use their giftings well, and be equipped in handling and leading people through God's Word.
We begin taking applications May 1, 2026. Interns will begin their internship in August 2026.
