We seek to lead and develop members into becoming a family that cares well for each other and proactively connects members to one another.

At Henderson Hills Baptist Church, we believe the gospel and its effect is for all types of people. Because of that, we hope to care well for those who may be forgotten or overlooked. We pray that through serving marriages, weddings, funerals, grief counseling, nursing homes, those in the hospital, and those currently in our homebound ministries will feel loved, cared for, and well-known by our body.

If you're in need of prayer, please email us at prayer@hhbc.com.

Meaningful Membership

Our Meaningful Membership Workshop is for all who would like to find out more about what we do and believe at Henderson Hills, and for those who are interested in pursuing church membership. Join pastors and other leaders of the church to talk about our faith in Christ, our beliefs as a church, and how we are seeking to minister the gospel in our community and the world. We would love the chance to get to know you and your family.

For details on our next workshop or to register, click here. For questions, email Jimmy Quinn.

Weddings

If you're interested in having your wedding at Henderson Hills, please read over our Wedding Policies Booklet. In addition to helping you plan your wedding, we are committed to helping each couple build a strong Christian marriage.

Each couple to be married at Henderson Hills Baptist Church must complete premarital counseling before the wedding date. Arrangements for the counseling sessions should be made with the officiating pastor. Anyone using an outside officiate must still complete the counseling. Information concerning the marriage license should be discussed during the counseling sessions.

According to 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, our pastors reserve the right to decide whom they will unite in Christian marriage.

Funerals & Grief Counseling

The loss of a family member or loved one is one of life's most difficult experiences. Our hope and prayer is that you will reach out to others and allow them to walk with you on your journey. If you would like to talk with someone or have questions regarding a funeral, please call the Congregational Care office at 405-513-7555.

Funerals at Henderson Hills are considered Christian worship services. As such they will be thoroughly biblical, seek to glorify God, present the gospel message, emphasize the beauty, joy and fulfillment of the Christian life, and stress the remarkable wonder of the eternity promised by Christ. These elements will dominate any funeral service in word, song, and media presentations. Henderson Hills reserves the right to decline requests which seek a funeral service that deviates from these norms.

Golden Years Visitation

Bible study, Christian fellowship, and corporate worship are important aspects of the Christian life. Unfortunately, increasing numbers of Henderson Hills' members are no longer able to join others on the church campus because of physical limitations. To address this growing need, we offer weekly visits by trained team members to homebound individuals and their caregivers with opportunities for Bible reading, prayer, and Christian fellowship.

Nursing Home Ministry

Residents of nursing homes and assisted living centers are some of the most forgotten and neglected people of our day. Our Nursing Home Ministry equips and sends caring church members weekly to honor, serve, and minister to those in area facilities.

Hospital Visitation

Henderson Hills shares the love of God by offering prayer, compassionate support, and face-to-face visits to our hospitalized members. We desire to allow God to work through us to provide encouragement and hope to patients and their family members. Our pastors and hospital visitation team members are trained to maintain medical confidentiality and respect the patient's privacy in all situations.
