We desire to equip 6th-12th grade students to glorify God by knowing Him, enjoying Him, and making Him known.

 

We strive to be a gospel-centered ministry by making the word of God known through teaching and discipleship on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.

We want students to enjoy God because of the great love He has shown us through the gospel. We aim to create fun and welcoming environments at events like Student camp and Big Weekend to provide students the opportunity to encounter the grace, mercy, and love of Christ.

As a result of knowing God, we want to help students and families make God known to others by equipping them to take the gospel to their neighbors and the nations through Spring Break Mission Trips and community service projects.

 

COMMUNITY GROUPS

Community Groups are a place for students to gather with others their age to grow deeper in the Word of God and gospel-centered community. High School students meet in co-ed groups at 10 am on Sunday mornings in the High School Room. Middle School students meet in gender-specific groups at 8:30 am or 10 am on Sunday mornings in the High School Room.

 

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

All students meet together in the High School Room at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays to fellowship, worship, and learn more about God.

KING OF THE BEACH

There are many things about King of the Beach that make it a summer favorite. The event is open to all 6th-12th grade students who want to test their sand volleyball skills. Teams will be drawn at a live draft by the Student Ministry staff according to students' skill level (according to the student). Each team will have an A player, a B player, and a C player. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams. You can register HERE.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

The Student Leadership Program at Henderson Hills helps students grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through intentional discipleship and training on how to lead out in their faith. Throughout the summer, the students will get a behind-the-scenes look at the ministry of the church while assisting with the planning and preparation of Student Ministry summer events. The Student Leadership Program is a great opportunity for juniors and seniors who potentially feel called to ministry and want to explore what it's like to serve Christ through the church vocationally.

Who Can Apply: Juniors and Seniors who are active in the Student Ministry at HHBC

Weekly Hours: Monday & Tuesdays: 1-5 pm, Wednesdays: 3 pm until after Wednesday Evening Services. You must be available: June 2 - August 4, and participate in VBS, King of the Beach, and Student Camp.

STUDENT CAMP

Our Student Ministry (students who have completed 6th - 12th) will travel to Shepherd of the Ozarks to experience God in a fresh and reviving way! This past year our students endured political turmoil, a worldwide pandemic, relational heartbreak, physical sickness, canceled plans, and an increase in depression, anxiety, disappointment, and isolation. The brokenness confronting them makes sweeter the truth, our God RESTORES. Through the person and work of Jesus Christ, God can restore our sinful hearts.
Join us for a week of personal restoration, strengthening relationships, and fun outdoor recreation. Students will have the opportunity to float the river, zip line, pet a llama, and so much more at the Shepherd of the Ozarks!
