People choose their last words wisely. The last opportunity to speak to someone brings a weight of importance. Jesus began His last words on earth with this phrase: “Go therefore…” After He ascended into Heaven, the first Christians did just that—they went. The book of Acts records how the Holy Spirit empowered them to go to their neighborhoods and to the nations with the good news of Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection. We can learn much from their example, their courage, and their agenda, as we examine what it means to “live sent” today.
